Before this happend she hid out in the school for a day or so, catching the attention of Kiri when she was woken up by Tarou stairing blankly at a TV she found in the garbage after she was chaced by some cops. The truth is, Tarou actually bought her name, student number from a down and out student who sold everything he could...including his pride. She now attends Itoshiki Nozomu's class using the boys name. Tarou Sekiutsu's full name is Maria Tarou Sekiutsu, a illegal immigrant and fugitive girl. Maria is actually her middle name...or so she says when she decides to take Chiri, whom happend to be irritated by the fact that Maria popped up in the class, and Kafuka on a tour of her small room where she lives with a bunch of other immigrants. Kafuka seems to think that they are the returnees to Japan from the foreign classes ala Kaere Kimura. It's never said where they are from, but they claim to be Japanese due to having 'Japanese names' such as Honda, Mitsubishi, and Matsushita to blend in, or at least try to. Speaking of Kafuka, Maria and her made friends rather quickly. In fact they both seem to be as carefree as the other. Kafuka even gave her the nickname Mataro, a name refrencing Fujiko Fujio A's Matarou is coming!!'. Maria also seems to think that Japan is the land of abundance and that it's people throw a lot of stuff away that still has a use. Like bikes, TVs, stoves, fridges, and yes...even babies. She has a closest full of stuff she found like that. Though her sense of technology could use a little work, she seems to think a pager is a cellphone. Durring when Meru was sending less then nice emails to everyone's phones, she stayed completely oblivious to it because of that. She also likes Japan because 'people say they're cute when they're not', ' Maria's carefree and just as positive as Kafuka, but maybe a little more oblivious to things going on around her as previously stated. Maria lives a modest life and also has an air about her that makes everyone want to look after her. Not surprising since she is fairly hyper and prone to doing dangerous things like trying to catch a butterfly by hanging herself out the window, or swinging from the fluorescent light fixtures. Because of this, they even set up a donation box on her desk and gave her gifts. Her flexibility is also -40 centimeters and has a 100,000,000 yen life insurance policy that she said herself, doesn't match her status. After taking a bath in the hotsprings, she likes to wind down with a bottle of milk, she also appears calmer and less hyper then normal. However like everyone else, she usually goes back to her old hyper, sometimes streaking, self after she eats junk food. |
